Chocolate Chia Pudding

This delectable chocolate chia pudding is simple to create with only six ingredients. It's thick, naturally sweet, and the ideal healthy make-ahead breakfast or dessert.

Tastes like dessert - While I typically have chia pudding for breakfast, this chocolate version is more luxurious, making it an excellent healthy dessert alternative.

This recipe makes three servings, making it ideal for meal prep. Make a batch over the weekend, and you'll have a snack or dessert on hand for several days!

Easy - With only six ingredients, this recipe takes less than ten minutes to prepare.

unsweetened almond milk - I prefer unsweetened almond milk, but feel free to substitute any non-dairy milk such as oat milk or coconut milk for a creamier texture! You can also use dairy milk if you prefer.

Chia seeds - the star of the show, these tiny seeds expand in the liquid to give the custard its distinctive texture. This recipe works well with both black and white chia seeds. My favourite chia seed brands are Navitas and Bob's Red Mill.

Maple syrup is my personal favourite sweetener for this recipe, but you could also use honey, agave, or sugar substitutes such as stevia or monk fruit for a low-sugar alternative.
