Microsoft to release next 'Call of Duty' game on subscription service, source say

according to a source familiar with the situation, wants to deliver the next iteration of the "Call of Duty"  

videogame to its subscription service instead of selling it individually, which is a change from its longstanding norm.  

According to an anonymous source, the announcement is likely to be made at the annual Xbox showcase on June 9, as these plans are confidential.  

A request for comment from Reuters was not immediately responded to by Microsoft.

It was late last year when Microsoft concluded its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, acquiring "Call of Duty" in the process.
