NBA world reacts as Grizzlies make huge Ja Morant trade

Morant's spinning game-winning basket at the buzzer concluded a fantastic second-half performance and secured the Grizzlies' 115-113 victory at the Smoothie King Center.  

His final stats were 34 points, eight assists, and six rebounds on 12-for-24 shooting.  

The Grizzlies once trailed by 24 points in the second quarter and were down 19 at the break. However, Morant led the Grizzlies to a strong second half effort, chipping away at the Pelicans' lead.  

Morant dominated the fourth quarter, scoring 14 points and opening up the floor by working the middle.  

The NBA world paid attention on social media, including Lakers star LeBron James and former teammate Tyus Jones.  

Ja Morant recorded 34 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block in 35 minutes, shooting 12-of-24 and 10-of-12 from the free throw line.  

Morant participated in a competitive game for the first time since April 28,   

when the Grizzlies were eliminated from the 2022-23 playoffs with a Game 6 loss to the Lakers.
