Sources: Bronny James expected to stay in the 2024 NBA Draft.

James, who had a cardiac arrest last July before returning to the court for his freshman season at USC, has been fully cleared to play by the NBA's Fitness to Play Panel and will take part in all pre-draft activities, starting with the NBA Draft Combine this week.

There's also the question of whether James and his father can become teammates. LeBron has indicated a desire to finish his career playing beside his son.

In July, the younger James fell after suffering a heart episode while working out with the USC squad. A family spokesman stated that the tragedy was caused by a congenital heart abnormality.

Four months later, doctors permitted him to return to practice, and on December 10, he made his college debut versus Long Beach State.

He started six of the final 25 games for USC, averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 19.3 minutes.

In March, his collegiate coach at USC, Andy Enfield, left for the head-coaching position at SMU, raising questions about his future.

When his collegiate coach at USC, Andy Enfield, left for the head-coaching opening at SMU in March, the questions that were around his future were even more prevalent.

The 19-year-old James made his selection for the NBA Draft on April 5. During the time that he was working out for NBA teams, he also entered the transfer portal in order to keep his flexibility.
