The New Jersey Devils believe Jack Hughes is'really close' to returning from injury.

Jack Hughes, of the New Jersey Devils, is close to returning to the lineup after a month-long injury absence, the team announced.

Hughes, their second-leading scorer, expressed optimism about returning strong for the remainder of the NHL season.

Despite not playing in the All-Star events due to injury, Hughes attended some festivities to spend time with his brother Quinn, who plays for the Vancouver Canucks.

The Devils' franchise player, Hughes, has been sidelined since January 5th with an upper-body injury.

The league had hoped Hughes might participate in All-Star activities, but he was ultimately ruled out last week.

Hughes remains hopeful despite the setback, acknowledging the timing was unfortunate but still grateful for the opportunity to be with his brother.

The Devils, with Hughes out, currently sit five points out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

ustin Bieber, serving as a celebrity captain at the All-Star event, also took part in warmups but clarified he wasn't playing to avoid getting injured.
